What Kind of Holiday is This?
I'm not working this week so I'm happily doing nothing. I could go out and 'get some fresh air' but seeing the temperature is hovering around zero, I think I'll give that a miss. I also have a cold so I just want to sit at home and watch movies, read, and play spades.
I subscribe to a property development magazine and I'm a bit behind on reading them. I love everything about property investing and I have a couple of properties myself but there are only so many case studies you can read in a day. I managed to read one magazine but the other 5 will have to wait until another day. I don't know how I managed to get so behind with them.
As for watching movies, well, there's not much chance of that. My subscription to pay TV recently expired and I didn't bother renewing it. How can have around 100 channels and there still be nothing to watch? Of course, now I'm left with just the free to air channel and, bloody hell, they're crap. No chance of seeing a decent movie, not even an old one. I could rent a dvd but you'd need a dvd player for that. I suppose I could watch a dvd on my computer but it's not much fun watching on a tiny screen. I think my computer screen is only 14 or 15 inches so does that qualify as tiny?
Next option is to play cards online. Of course I want to play Spades and nothing else but the site I usually use is not available. I admit I pay at MSN but I won't link to them because they are rubbish. They often have this problem where they say there was a 'general error' and that's it. So I can't play Spades. What can I play? Hearts? Yuk! I wish I had good backup game.
I almost bought a 200 game Sudoku yesterday and now I wish I had done. I could have easily passed hours playing that. I had stopped playing because I thought I was wasting too much time with it but in fact, I think it's a good way to use my brain, seeing it doesn't get much use these days!
For now it looks like I'll do some work. So I haven't had any time off since August and now when I finally get a few days to myself the best thing I can find to do is work. Brilliant.
